Covenant Teen members from all over the Panhandle are on a project to help "Hope for the Children" (www.hopeforthechildren.org) through Souper Bowl of Caring. The Hope for the Children Foundation Inc. is a not-for-profit charitable & educational orgnization which conducts specific projects and events and raises funds to expand opportunities and increase the development of young people around the world.

Our fundraiser will be on February 7, 2010 on Super Bowl Sunday through souper bowl of caring (www.souperbowl.org.)

We have asked a Covenant Teen member from your parish to be in charge in order to promote leadership development with the help of the parish youth minister/contact. We have asked the teens to ask permission before going forward with the project. Parishes that don't have Covenant Teen members are encourage to participate; the youth minister can assign comeone to be in charge.

Covenant Teen’s goals is to foster leadership growth in our Catholic youth and I believe that by giving them projects, they will learn to be leaders in our parish community. 

We the Diocese of Amarillo through the Office of Youth Ministry have raised over $10,000.00 for different organizations in the past four years but some parishes in the Diocese had participated in the the Souper Bowl Sunday in prior years.
